Position Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for managing customer relations and projects for Tokiwa Cosmetics America through direct contact with customers and factories. The Project Manager is an integral point person responsible for maintaining ongoing contact with sales staff, clients and internal cross-functional teams to develop and maintain all aspects of a customer’s launch (cost, aesthetic targets, technical, quality and timing). Active participation in identifying new and improved processes that will result in value analysis and cost reduction returns.

The position reports to the Manager of Product Development.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work with R&D (formula and packaging teams) on product development as directed by clients.
  • Communicate between the Sales Division & Operation teams.
  • Coordinate meeting, minutes & follow-ups.
  • Create & execute timelines, track the progress of projects to ensure on-time execution.
  • Risk analysis assessment & communication with stakeholders.
  • Value Analysis support to the divisions and operations.
  • Product knowledge, trends, innovation, and evaluation.
  • Interface with all associated or related functional areas.
  • Perform other duties as necessary or required.

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • 1-2 years’ experience working in cosmetic manufacturing & production is recommended.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline is recommended.
  • Travel to clients Domestic and Internationally requirement (10-15% of time).
  • Strong PC skills. MS Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and Project Management software.
  • Good communication skills (written & verbal) to be able to deal effectively with all levels of our organization and our clients.
  • The ability to work independently using strong critical thinking skills
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Good organizational skills to manage the documents, materials and information needed on each project.

Japanese Language skill is a plus

Salary: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 /year
