Our Health Management Integration Systems team, part of Government Vehicle Health Management Systems in the Boeing Global Services, Digital Aviation & Analytics organization, is looking for a Scum Master (SM). The SM will be supporting the development of vehicle maintenance debrief solutions across the portfolio.
You will be responsible for ensuring our portfolio embraces and follows the agile values and principles, while serving as a coach in an effort to ensure that the processes and practices that the team established are followed, and goals are effectively and consistently met. You will work closely with Product Owners, and development teams to support the development life-cycle by maintaining a well-groomed backlogs, facilitating agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint review, and retrospectives. You will continually monitor performance and help identify continuous improvement opportunities through agile metrics that evaluates productivity, work quality, predictability, and health of the team and products being developed. Your responsibilities will span across multiple products.

Responsibilities Include:
- Guides team through sprint planning and execution
- Facilitates scrum ceremonies
- Supports Product Owner (PO) in creation, refinement, prioritization of the backlog elements and release planning
- Proactively remove impediments to the team and elevate awareness of any organizational impediments identified. Ensure root causes are effectively identified and addressed
- Drives continuous improvement of team to ensure value is delivered earlier and more often with higher quality
- Ensures appropriate sizing and standardization of user stories according to the INVEST principle
- Coach team members in estimation techniques aimed at generating effective team discussions and valuable, working software every iteration
- Helps the team maintain optimal velocity to meet sprint goals
- Facilitate definition of ready and definition of done that enable higher product quality
- Develop metrics to monitor performance and evaluate productivity, work quality, predictability, and health of the team
- Provides agile coaching and advises team members on Agile practices
- Facilitate consensus building activities and conflict resolution in order to improve team effectiveness
Required Qualifications (Required):
- Bachelor’s degree: Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry.
- 5+ years of specific experience working in an agile development environment, preferably lead role
- Familiarity with Agile practices, software development environments, and industry best practices
- “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Desired Qualifications/Experience:
- Possess Scrum Master Certification or equivalent agile certification
- Good computer science fundamentals
- Knowledge of Lean and continuous flow project management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Agile development processes like Scrum, Kanban, XP
- Working knowledge of tools, preferably TFS, to build and maintain team backlog
- Demonstrated knowledge of Agile frameworks
- Understanding of the basic fundamentals of software development processes and procedures as well as knowledge of the software development life cycle
- Strong ability to leverage metrics, optimization, and qualitative and quantitative research to inform and validate decisions
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, at various stages of their development
- Strong leadership, mentoring and influencing capabilities, that reflect excellent customer relationship and interpersonal skills
