We recruit top talent and are currently seeking a full-time a full-time, Project Manager. The position is open to be based in our Charlotte, Orlando, or Nashville location.

Responsibilities will include coordination, management, and construction aspects for wireless telecommunications sites including building rooftops, water tanks, raw land towers, tower colocations, and small cell sites. Candidate will work closely with other members of S&ME’s telecommunications team in developing and completing A/E design projects and growing our telecommunications practice.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Read, analyze & understand the specific project scope of work starting with existing electrical power and proposed power requirements;
  • Perform structural mappings on rooftops (i.e. take measurements, collect and seek out data and existing building drawings from the field sufficient to perform the designs in the office side);
  • Manage multiple projects to ensure project timelines are meeting contractual agreements within established deadlines;
  • Coordinating with external and internal teams to provide guidance and direction on deliverable requests and deadlines; collaborate to ensure quality performance;
  • Ensure assigned projects don’t exceed budget;
  • Work directly with cities and local jurisdictions to understand their code requirements;
  • Managing the customer to ensure that realistic goals and expectations are both communicated and met;
  • Work with licensed engineers as well surveyors to review and revise the calculations and designs as needed;
  • Provide leadership guidance, training and mentorship for developing associates;
  • Establish and foster team culture with a commitment to timeliness, responsiveness and exceptional work product.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture, Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering;
  • 8+ years experience in telecommunications design and site development (cell towers, wireless A&E designs, structural detailing, and/or construction documentation in the cell tower industry);
  • Professional License/Certification is preferred;
  • Experience with AutoCAD or Revit preferred;
  • Experience with RISA 3D/ RisaTower / eriTower / TnxTower preferred;
  • Ability to be a self-starter and highly motivated.
  • Experience with financial management including project budgeting, monthly forecasting, managing purchase orders, and invoicing;
  • Ability to work independently and/or remotely with limited supervision;
  • Ability to work with project teams and depts across the company efficiently to drive projects to completion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication;
  • Willingness to travel (day and overnight) within region of responsibility.
