Mayzo Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Team Leader to perform a wide range of warehouse activities in Walterboro, SC. We offer a full-time salaried opportunity with an 8:00-5:00 schedule Monday-Friday.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Receive, reconcile, and put away inbound freight shipments
- Pull samples from inbound cargo for quality control analysis
- Pick, pull, wrap, stack, and configure freight for outbound shipments
- Cycle count inventory at multiple locations and reconcile ERP accordingly
- Generate standard system reports as needed
- Maintain warehouse supply inventories
- Coordinate and maintain general facility maintenance contracts such as roofing, HVAC, plumbing, landscaping, lighting, etc
- Negotiate and maintain warehousing contracts for multiple facilities
- Negotiate freight contracts with commercial transportation companies
- Manage assigned commercial projects, as needed
- Supervise all shipping, receiving, and packing room activities performed by warehouse crew; maintain a high degree of visibility and access to employees on warehouse floor throughout the shift.
- Coordinate with the warehouse manager to manage personnel issues including, but not limited to, vacation approvals, timecard approval, daily and weekly overtime, hiring, and training.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Directly supervise three employees within the warehouse in accordance with Mayzo’s policies and applicable laws.
- Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.
Required Education and Experience
- Minimum of five years warehouse experience – 10 years of experience is preferred
- High school diploma required – a Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field is preferred
- Forklift certification
Additional Requirements and Preferences
- Physical strength and stamina, sufficient to lift 60 pounds repeatedly throughout the day
- Strong understanding of the full Supply Chain Model and how it affects other aspects of the business
- Computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Basic business office skills
- Career stability and dedication, demonstrated by multiple-year service to previous employers
- Knowledge of and adherence to strict safety protocols
- Experience in a small business environment is preferred

IMPORTANT Pre-Hire Requirements
As a condition of hire, Mayzo performs drug testing and a background check including a review of criminal, credit and motor vehicle records. A medical examination may also required prior to reporting to work.
