Job Summary:
As an experienced executive with strong business acumen, the Vice President, U.S. Field Operations will oversee the growth and delivery of Ledcor Technical Services’ (LTS) field operations across the United States.
Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Business Operations (LTS), this critical senior role is responsible for developing strategies, performance measures and monitoring criteria associated with the delivery of field services to LTS’s customers. Contributing as a high performing member of the leadership team, this role has full P&L responsibility derived from specific KPI targets and leads a geographically diverse group of professionals delivering business services to multiple customers within defined service level agreements while maintaining standard operating disciplines across all services and contracts.
The successful candidate will be an accomplished, customer-centric business and innovative operations leader with a firm grasp on operational excellence, have a desire to grow in a dynamic organization, strive to be best in class in their profession and understand and appreciate the mantra of work hard/play hard.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Build and lead a high performing Field Operations team in the delivery of services to customers throughout the US
- Lead service delivery and supported sales; focused on customers, solving business problems and building trusted relationships. Responsible for planning, P&L budgets, contracts, process standards, and application development.
- Translate strategic goals and objectives into effective business planning and results
- Establish, cultivate and manage key customer relationships to ensure services are delivered exceeding stakeholder satisfaction
- In partnership with customers, monitor and drive to exceed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and KPIs
- Develop plans for continuous improvement relative to business and operational KPIs
- Lead management meetings
- Identify potential revenue opportunities and maintain active participation in the development of solutions for existing and new customers
- Identify and address gaps in service delivery as required
- Establish new policies and procedures as required
- Lead budget performance and efforts to optimize the cost of service
- Ensure employee engagement, support and recognition is a priority and carried through at all levels in the organization
- Collaborate with our external partners to ensure successful field execution
- Build and maintain effective relationships with business unit leaders to understand all issues and drivers
- Provide leadership and consulting across the organization to support strategic decision making
- Manage, coach and mentor a team of leaders
- Ensure ongoing employee development and engagement within team through implementation of Ledcor’s employee performance development and management programs.
- Effectively leverage LTS shared services.
- Support Ledcor Health and Safety professionals to ensure Ledcor’s Corporate safety program and policies are appropriately implemented across the team.
Qualifications:
- University degree in Business or an applicable program is key for success in this role
- Minimum 10+ years of progressively broader and more challenging experience in senior leadership roles in versatile and diverse organizations
- Experience building, leading and mentoring a field services delivery organization
- Proven track record of success in customer fulfillment operations, new product introductions, planning, strategy development/implementation, and technology integration
- Understanding of and experience in the telecommunications and IT sector
- A results-oriented leader capable of working productively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas, project and process concepts with ease and clarity from field technicians to executives
- Strong teamwork skills and a demonstrated ability to secure co-operation and commitment from peers in other departments and divisions
- Superior business acumen. Able to identify business issues/challenges and create appropriate solutions.
- Self-starter and initiator, highly adaptable; you are restless when improvements can’t be made
- Demonstrated ability to achieve business and operational results in a client focused position
- Direct experience with change management; including – planning, communication and execution
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to apply a methodical approach to problem resolution
- Demonstrated budget expertise and financial controls
- Strong safety champion and demonstrated experience working in an established and advanced Health and Safety program
