VP of Franchise Development
In this new role, reporting directly to the CEO, the Vice President of Franchise Development plays a strategic part in the success and growth of the Sprinkles brand. You will be responsible for developing a new franchise program from the ground up, including franchisee criteria, all franchising requirements, and building relationships with potential and selected franchisee applicants. You will be creating business strategies designed to enable franchise partners to achieve objectives. You will create a program that will enable franchise partners to maintain brand standards, drive sales, traffic and profits. You will partner with cross-functional leaders of Marketing, Supply Chain,
Development, Finance, Operations and HR to design our Franchise program to include streamlined services that support and attract partners including development, new location support, marketing support, operational standards and training.
Responsibilities:
- Partners with CEO and leadership team to develop Sprinkles Franchise criteria, selection process, financial requirements and operational goals, support initiatives and planning tools.
- Identify competitors and build a franchisee program that is best in industry wide practices and standards
- Collaborates with leadership team to define the companyâs strategic objectives and contribute to overall financial objectives and business goals, communicating status of franchise partners achieving business and development commitment goals.
- Source and maintain leads of potential franchise partners.
- Determine and select appropriate advertising channels to campaign for franchising.
- Will develop, present and execute new strategies and plans, and provide tools to franchiseeâs that ensure best in class operations across all existing and new bakeries.
- Supporting, coordinating and conducting Franchise Program communication plan.
- Will assess site selection to ensure the area and demographics align with Sprinkles standards and vision.
- Creates the development, distribution, and on-going evaluation plan of operational standards, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with Sprinkles expectations, standards and legal requirements.
- Provides input and recommendations on new Franchise applications to advance the selection of qualified
Franchisee partners.
- Responds appropriately to Franchise inquiries following up on leads via, email, phone, and/or in person.
- Develop a franchise on-boarding program.
- Oral and written communication skills that effectively communicate sophisticated concepts, insights and recommendations in a compelling manner to various audiences.
Requirements:
- 5-7 years in a Director of Franchise Development role (e.g., Operations/Training in Restaurant/ Hospitality
Industry)
- An understanding of restaurant financial performance and operations.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Proven ability to grow a restaurant/ hospitality brand domestically, with international experience being a plus.
- Ability to travel 60% – 67% of the time.
