Summary:
The Software Product Development Manager will migrate company software products and identify, build and implement products based on evolving technologies.
Reports to: VP of PSG, Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 yearsâ experience in software product management
- Experience with the methodology of software product development
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft products (i.e. Windows, SQL Server, Visual Studio)
- Professional presentation of new software products to both internal teams and customers
- Ability to manage the development of multiple products concurrently
- Manage both internal and external resources (outsourcing)
- Strong team building and communications skills
- Able to develop new products based on the guidance provided by the executive team
- General knowledge of PLC technology is a plus
- Pragmatic Marketing certified is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Migrate company software products based on evolving technologies
- Identify opportunities, build product vision and understand market needs, roadmap and strategy
- Develop product specifications, requirements, and release plans
- Research customer and user needs to develop marketable products
- Participate in user conferences and customer facing situations as a product expert
- Collect and synthesize inputs from engineering, sales, business units, vertical marketing group and the market to lead business and products direction
- Partner with cross functional teams to ensure quality product output, timeliness, and market requirements
- Propose product strategy changes as a result of competitive changes in the marketplace
- Monitor product profitability against planned
- Support and deliver product collateral for sales teams
- Provide technical support for project implementation teams
