A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER
As a Senior Project Manager, you lead teams to deliver projects on time and on budget while building excellent relationships with all stakeholders. You also manage project resources, schedules, financials, and status reporting while adhering to stage gate quality and control guidelines throughout the full systems development life cycle. This includes the management of project issues, risks, and change requests to ensure successful and on-time project deliveries. You have full profit/loss responsibility and the authority to run the project on a day-to-day basis.
You may evaluate, mentor, and train team members, empowering and guiding them to succeed. Using your excellent communication skills, you manage customer expectations and requirements. You develop execution risk mitigation strategies as well as manage customer claims. For each project, you manage finances and report on the status regularly to management. Always looking for ways to improve project delivery, you also contribute to process improvement initiatives. You feel great about delivering the best project execution and the customer experience in our industry!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER
- Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent experience
- 6+ years of project management experience in a complex project environment
- Ability to pass a drug screening
- Ability to pass a fit-to-work physical
- Eligibility for an airport security badge
- Leadership skills
Project management certification and/or controls industry experience is preferred but multiple factors will be taken into consideration. Do you have exceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills? Do you have strong organizational skills? Can you effectively manage and prioritize project deadlines?
