The Quality Manager is responsible for using Six-Sigma tools, devising and implementing data-mining and problem-solving tools that assist in the improvement of product quality by adhering to some of the most efficient production standards, maximizing productivity and minimizing waste, generating additional savings. This position will assist Merchandising, Supply Chain, Engineering, Purchasing, and Sales personnel to address and resolve all types of quality issues. In addition, the Quality Manager will continuously evaluate methods and products used and identify ways to improve current products, processes, and reduce costs.
Primary Job Functions
· Using systematic tools that will identify issues and solve problems to improve them.
· Develop and maintain data-mining tools to obtain and analyze data (such as returns and allowance information, replacement part information, voice of customer, and other sources of field issues). Using Six Sigma or other process improvement tools, develop approaches to identify trends of issues and to reduce the occurrences of those issues
· Train internal personnel, customers and/or vendors to effectively utilize the problem-solving techniques to improve quality processes.
· Manage and oversee improvement projects to ensure that they are properly executed and implemented to achieve customer satisfaction.
· Collaborate with various departments to resolve identified quality issues.
· Generate, execute, and manage standards, physical expectations, specifications, and processes of products, production, and testing, involving material, in-process, and finished products
· Devise, implement, and maintain statistical audit procedures that define the auditing methodology, auditing frequency, data collection, and reporting systems.
· Provide accurate and detailed information requested by other members of management.
· Identify, quantify, qualify, and implement cost reduction opportunities.
· Inform the purchasing department of quality problems with vendors and suggest corrective actions.
· Communicate company and departmental issues through weekly meetings, coaching, training, and company-offered learning opportunities.

Required Education background:
· Bachelor Degree in Business Management, Statistics, Analytics, Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience,
Required work Experience:
· 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
· Wood, furniture, cabinetry industry preferred
· Supervisory/Management experience Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
· Proficient knowledge of queries and database management
· Proficient knowledge of Six Sigma tools and statistical process controls * Manufacturing processes * · Physical testing and measuring equipment
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Strong attention to detail
· Effective time management and organizational skills
· Work independently as well as in a team environment
· Problem solve and make decisions especially in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
· Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office
