Borden Dairy is seeking Project Manager to support our R&D team. This is a key role supporting the organization’s product development strategy by managing all phases of product development. We are excited about the opportunity to review talent with food science, commercialization and project management for our growing team.

Borden Dairy is seeking driven and passionate R&D Project Management professional who will be responsible for managing commercialization projects from Ideation through to Launch. This role is essential in supporting the Borden Research and Development Team in organizing all necessary details throughout the project while generating cross-functional collaboration to successfully execute projects. This role will act as a change agent and influence process adoption to support on-going expansion and growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and lead new product development projects through product development and commercialization process.
  • Identify opportunities to drive top line business growth via new and improved technologies, processes or ingredients
  • Lead cross-functional teams through a stage gate process to develop project plans with key milestones
  • Organize the scope, schedule, and potential costs/savings of each project
  • Create project schedules, edit as needed, maintain notes/next steps and assigned action, and communicate to the project team in a timely manner
  • Communicate all action items and deadlines to all involved in the project for gate advancement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
  • Summarize deliverables from cross-functional project meetings with timeline implications and key decisions
  • Create, update, and archive project documentation
  • Coordinate and manage various organization and project meetings
  • Identify and execute process improvement solutions using process mapping and optimization tools for strategic process improvements
  • Follow up on action items with responsible individuals to encourage the progress of project milestones
  • Document lessons learned and incorporate findings into future projects
  • Develop and manage summaries of project outcomes
  • Provide updates/reports of projects to various leadership levels
  • This position will also have the responsibility to lead and manage process change and continuous improvement while staying true to the organization’s culture. This position has a significant impact on projects deliverables, profitability and project success.
  • Establishes standards and procedures for project documentation, communication, and tracking including KPIs and dashboards.
  • Achieve optimal project outcomes by influencing across the organization, removing barriers, improving organizational project meetings and enhancing operational culture.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS (Science Based;Food Science, Chemistry, Engineering)
  • Product Development, Quality Assurance, or Research and Development experience
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of food science and commercialization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, documentation, and computer skills and be able to use them within all levels of the company
  • CPG Commercialization
  • Excellent time management, (planning, task prioritization, scheduling, risk management, organizational skills) with demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects and coordinating the activities of various resources
  • Experience with Smartsheet and MS Office tools/MS Project
  • Experience managing Stage-Gate processes

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience
