Nurse Manager

This position is responsible for the integration of the nursing process to include: coordination/management of patient care; organizing planning directing and evaluating of services provided with a core focus on facility and associated departments. Provides leadership direction and mentorship/support to the staffing needs for the designated specialty. Provides leadership direction and mentorship/support to the staffing needs for the designated speciality area(s). As a Clinical Expert ensures the provision of clinically competent services by validating staff competency in the provision of a comprehensive range of services/care in accordance with standards of excellence age-specific and cultural sensitivity established by Riverside Health System and facility goals and strategic plans. Performs other duties as assigned.

Riverside Doctors’ Surgery Center, a Department of Riverside Regional Medical Center, is located at the Riverside Kings Way medical campus in Williamsburg. Our facility is surveyed by DNV, which means we are held to the same high standards required of hospitals.

Education: BSN or bachelors in a healthcare related field highly preferred. MSN or masters in related field preferred. Area-specific certifications preferred (i.e. CNOR, CASC).

Experience: Progressive leadership experience which provided opportunities-develop skills in nursing practice if applies, and/or in application of administrative principles. Concentrated experience in assigned service desirable

Licensure/Certification: Licensed or eligible by the state of Virginia as an RN or licensed Practitioner in area of responsibility. ACLS is required upon hire. PALS is required upon hire. CPR is required upon hire.
