Job Description
This position is responsible for overseeing activities related to the technical support and sustaining engineering functions in a product manufacturing area. Responsibilities include planning and directing implementation of equipment, process, or product modifications to improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques, and production yields for existing products. Additionally, this position acts as an engineering liaison with internal customers to ensure processes meet the needs of identified customers. Other responsibilities include providing input to select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
As the YE process manager you are responsible for the day-to-day operation of yield enhancement activities for a particular product family, by leading a team of Engineers to create a pareto of yield issues and through thorough understanding of failures seen at Probe. This Technology/Part owner are mostly established shift engineers or highly experienced part owners. You are also responsible to communicate yield issues to Fab management, sister sites, and Product Engineering with emphasis on root cause and extent.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Managing Product Nodes YE Engineering Activities
- Manages yield monitoring, investigation, response, and communication
- Manages failure analysis and communication of results
- Drive both resolution of excursions and ongoing yield improvement
Performance Management
- Maintain an effective training program; provide active leadership to drive group to higher levels of proficiency
- Uphold the group standards with respect to critical metrics by holding group and individuals accountable for decisions and performance
- Provide technical assistance to all direct reports
Supports Company and Department Objectives
- Define BP’s and KPI’s for your organization and monitors them periodically to support organization goals and needs
- Ensure project management methods and principles are applied to all individual and team projects needed to support Line of Sight commitments and departmental improvement activities

Experience
- YE Experience preferred: YE Expertise and/or YE Shift/Lab and Part owner Knowledge
- PIE/Site level project involvement/management experience will be a plus
- Experience in Owning and leading department level business process improvements will be a plus
- Driving and running effective meetings’ experience will be a plus.
- Setting up, Maintaining and evaluating KPIs for PIE/YE Processes especially PTO related is plus.
