About The Position

  • The Manager, Enterprise Agility is responsible to serve as the agile architect, implementer, and coach within Ameren.
  • Focuses on agile implementation and process development, works with development groups to standardize adoption of agile principles, and works with key business groups to educate and facilitate a transition to an agile model

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manages resource allocation for agile coaches across long-lived Agile teams and enterprise training initiatives.
  • Has in-depth knowledge and familiarity in agile practices in order to set strategy and mentor and coach co-workers on best practices with:

o Agile team mobilization
o Agile team maturation
o Scaling Agile
o Vital few metrics valuable to the team and stakeholders

  • Leads strategic direction of the enterprises’ shift to agility, including:

o Process changes
o Organizational changes
o Skill development

  • Coaches business and Digital executives on the enterprise cultural shift required for Agile teams to be successful.
  • Works with leadership to define metrics that track teams’ progression through their Agile journey
  • Delivers strategies to Digital leadership on roadmap, adoption, and implementation plans for Agile transformation
  • Participates in workforce strategy within Digital to help shape the workforce for Agile success
  • Builds and leads a team to execute on functional area objectives.
  • Has performance and career development conversations.
  • Builds and maintains team motivation and engagement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Five or more years of experience performing in multiple Agile roles preferably as agile coach in a lean or scrum environment.
  • Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), Project Management Institute Agile Certified Professional (PMI ACP), or other leading Agile certification is required
  • Extensive knowledge of software development methodologies.
  • Experience implementing continuous improvement (CI) techniques.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
Strong Agile knowledge and skills including:
– Experience with Scrum, Extreme Programming (XP), Lean and Kanban
– Enterprise agile transformations
– Agile scaling techniques – Large Scale Scrum (LeSS) and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
– Change management strategies and principles
– Demonstrate effective vendor management skills
