This is a hands-on position and will require the ability to manage and guide teams working on various projects developing and implementing data integration strategies in support of the organization. The manager will be responsible for daily operations and staff management along with ensuring operations are streamlined, establishing and enforcing best practices of business intelligence solutions along with ability to communicate status to our business partners, senior management and internal team(s) which will require excellent communication and written skills.
A successful candidate will have had prior experience and exposure in all aspects of a data warehousing project lifecycle such as:
- Prior experience in establishing ETL framework and best practices
- Deep understanding and hands on experience of data warehousing concepts, database design, ETL development, reporting tools and various scripting languages.
- Strong business acumen to dissect and explain analytical questions and issues
- Prior experience with reporting tools such as Business Objects, Tableau, Power BI etc.
- Knowledge of security policies and procedures.
- Exposure to real time data capture and reporting.
Specific duties of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Managing data integration resources and multiple projects/workstreams in a high- pressure environment with aggressive delivery schedules.
- Supporting, promoting and driving implementation best practices and standardization on data integration projects.
- Ensuring data accuracy and timeliness.
- Enforcing technical standards among project delivery teams.
- Enforcing SDLC rigor as well as security standards when dealing with sensitive PII data.
- Facilitating productive meetings and follow ups post meetings with strong organization capabilities and attention to detail.
- Collaborating with multiple departments and offices.
- Assisting in developing strategic and resource plans as well as evaluating and making recommendations for new business intelligence tools and initiatives.
- Working closely with business and power users to advise on best practices and educate on data sources.
- Overseeing multiple projects and directing others.
- Participating in and promote data Governance activities such as cataloging data, contributing to metadata management, data lineage and data quality.
- Managing help desk activities for the applications being supported.
