About the Role:

Flow is currently seeking a Head of Payments reporting to the CEO to join Flow to play a critical role in leading and operating the complex infrastructure of Flow global payments and risk operations. Flow’s systems manage and operate a complex infrastructure of global payment. This person will help create a strategy for and continue to optimize how these transactions take place, how and where they should be routed for maximum conversion and minimal cost, while ensuring minimal risk. The expected outcomes will substantially add to Flow’s profitability while optimizing upside for our clients.


What you’ll do:

  • Manage payment processor and fraud prevention relationships
  • Optimize transaction routing across global acquiring networks
  • Ensure proper currency and banking settlement expectations across entity relationships
  • Manage risk operations, reduce costs for chargeback disputes and minimize fraud rates
  • Be an expert in the payments landscape, understanding consumer behavior and preferences
  • Interface with finance, commercial, product and technology teams to ensure the right features and operations are present to maximize payment and risk profitability


About you:

  • BS/BA with 10+ years software, high tech or ecommerce experience leading billing initiatives
  • Proven success at developing a strategy and building or launching a billing function at a large, global scale
  • Startup experience is a plus
  • Strong communication skills with experience presenting to executive leadership
  • Experience driving testing and optimization and growth in order to optimize the customer experience and deliver results
  • Demonstrated excellence in conceptual thinking and analytical problem-solving
  • Ability to rapidly assess a problem, define options, evaluate and execute to address critical business issues
  • The desire and ability to take a stand and advocate a course of action, presenting supporting facts and data to back up your position
  • Extraordinary communication skills, both verbal and written, at all levels
  • A solid sense of self, balanced with the drive to put team first
