Director of Operations – Hotel

Golder Hospitality is seeking a highly motivated Director of Operations at the, soon to open, new Hotel at Running Aces Casino Hotel Racetrack. If you are committed to leading by example and exceeding the expectations of our guests and team members, we want to talk with you.
The principle responsibility of the Director of Operations is to assist in managing the day-to-day hotel operations by maximizing financial returns, driving development of people, creating and maintaining a unique guest experience, executing brand standards, and building awareness of hotel and brand in the local community. Act as the General Manager in his/her absence.
Essential Functions of the Director of Operations:
· Manager day-to-day operational activities, plan and assign work, establish performance and development goals for team members performance and recognize good performance.
· Oversee the day-to-day operations and assignments of the hotel staff, assist the General Manager in the development and communication of department strategies and goals. Communicate and enforce policies and procedures
· Ensure all team members understand and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
· Provides direction for department leaders.
· Ensure all team members understand their performance standards and expectations.
· Promote a positive and safe work environment.
· Assist department leaders in preparing quarterly action plans.
· Adhere to and consistently enforce company policies and procedures.
· Ensure high standards of cleanliness and condition are maintained throughout the hotel by participation in weekly asset tours.
· Ensure that all preventative maintenance problems are completed in accordance to brand/company standards.
· Regularly attend and contribute to staff meetings and revenue management meetings.
· Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other shifts and department management.
· Establish and implement appropriate service recovery guidelines in order to ensure complete guest satisfaction. Respond to guest complaints or concerns in a prompt and professional manner.
· Review guest feedback and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
· Communicate to appropriate departments all pertinent information requirements and special needs for arriving VIP’s, large groups and other key guests.
· Adherence to the property labor management standards and expense budget/forecast.
· Responsible for assisting in the on-boarding and overseeing training of team members.
· Management of the property brand requirement; quality assurance, inspection scores, loss prevention and guest satisfaction scores. Along with implementation and monitoring other requirements of the brand.
Required Experience/Skills:
Leadership skills for the position include; meeting deadlines, financial analysis, decision making, planning and coordination of special projects, excellent communication skills including written and verbal, and strong guest service skills that include the ability to resolve concerns with both team members and guests.
A minimum of four years in hotel management required and a college degree preferred. Interested candidates please provide salary requirements.
