Position Summary:
The Deployment Americas team is looking for a Deployment Project Manager who will be responsible for deploying our business travel clients on to the GBT Online product suite. This role will provide consultation to client and facilitate vendor project teams when 3rd party OBT products are being deployed. The role requires both project management skills and a demonstrated understanding of how business travel technology products can support a clientâs travel program.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of the clientâs online deployment project, consulting on available product options, analyzing requirements to make configuration recommendations, identifying and managing project changes & risks, and ultimately delivering projects on time, within budget and with high client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of PMI methods and how to apply them to achieve project results, as well as strong technical knowledge of KDS, Concur and GetThere online booking tools, Expert Auditor, Connect Portal and Profile configuration capabilities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manages individual projects to success to agreed upon project goals, while meeting / exceeding the budgeted project cost and timeline
- Manages project team through a defined project lifecycle, strict adherence to project management protocol
- Establishes strong credibility with client / client manager to become the trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle
- Consults with client on available product options and makes recommendations in support of project goals
- Manages and modifies client expectations, manages project change controls and escalates risks as necessary
- Elicits support of technical product subject matter experts, and/or other internal teams as necessary
- Collaborates with team members and business partners across global locations
- Must be able to travel to in person client meetings (up to 10% annually)
Scope:
- Leads client facing project, consults and collaborates with internal and external project participants on roles/responsibilities, major deliverables, success measures, cost budget, project controls
- Gathers, interprets and documents client technical site requirements
- Finalizes project scope and obtains formal agreement from project sponsors / participants
- Collaborate and partner with Implementation Project Manager to insure all technology deployment project plans are aligned with overall on-boarding project plans
- Works with technical production teams to ensure all products are configured properly against client requirements
- Facilitates internal end-to-end test plan, when multiple products are in scope, to ensure all products working as designed
- Consults with client/client management on site acceptance test criteria, launch communication strategy
- Facilitates project closure, transition to steady state support model, and distributes project satisfaction survey
- Responsible for adhering to established standard deployment procedures and recommending changes to improve quality
