Tremont Construction Management is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for our office located in the heart of Boston’s Financial District

The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting the Senior Project Managers and Project Managers in coordinating the activities of a project to ensure cost, schedule, document control and quality standards are met. The Assistant Project Manager is expected to exercise independent judgment related to day-to-day administration of projects.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist the Project Manager/ Senior Project Manager in all phases and aspects of the project
  • Work to obtain all necessary permits as requested by the PM and/or SPM
  • Review drawings and specifications to become completely familiar with the project
  • Complete sub evaluations/comparisons of bids, scope review, and complete buyout as requested by PM and/or SPM
  • Develop and manage a project submittal log and obtain designer’s approval.
  • Review submittals to ensure compliance with contract documents
  • Ensure contracts and insurance are current and received before subcontractor performs any work on site.
  • Follow up on collection of all non-received documents and escalate any issues to the PM and/or SPM
  • Distribute all punch lists and the follow-up as necessary to ensure timely completion of punch list work
  • Maintain client relationships at the appropriate level reinforcing Tremont Construction Management’s commitment to continuously addressing their needs and interests

We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering
  • 0-2 years of work experience
  • Ideal candidate will have experience working a fast-pace, energetic environment while committed to upholding world class customer service
  • Ability to work under tight timelines, multitask and hit project deadlines
  • Experience using Excel, On Screen, Planswift, Procore, and/or Bluebeam software is a plus
