POSITION SUMMARY:
The Web Project Manager is a member of the Danaher Water Quality Platform DGT System’s Team with a combination of skills in systems/requirements analysis, project management, testing and communications required to perform web project management, business analysis, and web operations production support.
Ideal candidates will have a background in both technical and business areas which enable them to act as the liaison between IT, Hach e-commerce, Hach International Marketing and outside web production vendors to facilitate/manage requests for development and enhancements to international web sites.
This role provides analytical input in the idea process for new website development. This position will lead the new website projects through the software development lifecycle: system/requirements analysis, design, testing, operations and maintenance. During the development phase of each site or major release, the Web Project Manager monitors resources, timing and scope to ensure projects launch on time and within budget. This position involves frequent communication with Hach offices and personnel worldwide, as well as crossfunctional teams across the Hach global organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (the below can be adjusted, based on what you are looking for)
Site Development:
- Assess feasibility and cost of changes/enhancements and determine alternative solutions.
- Develop project definitions; ensure clear understanding of project purpose, requirements, and implications. Communicate project to non-technical personnel.
- Serve as external customer contact point to resolve website-related issues. Work as customer advocate with a wide range of internal resources to ensure any quality or user issues are resolved.
- Identify project scope and author technical requirements.
- Create technical specifications to guide projects, manage projects from inception through completion.
- Lead/own user acceptance testing process.
Site Production:
- Plan site architecture modifications/improvements with respect to user interface/customer experience.
- Lead and direct cross-functional teams, establish project priorities, and manage issues that impact project activities.
- Oversee change implementation, testing, and release.
Content Management:
- Provide evaluations of CMS modification requirements and estimated effort (cost, time, and resource demand).
- Create and maintain procedures to ensure content is complete, timely, and accurate.
- Ensure CMS architecture meets requirements of all Danaher Water Quality Platform OpCo users and incorporates their country-specific needs.

Education, Background and Skill Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related technology field preferred
- 3+ years of work experience driving and executing web and/or enterprise software development projects (for example: ERPs, eCommerce, data warehouses, CRM, accounting systems, Web CMS, etc.) required.
- Formal project management training may be substituted for some of the experience.
- 3+ years of experience in an e-commerce production environment preferred
- Experience with DB structure and relationships required. (PL/SQL experience is a bonus)
- Hands on programming experience in one or a combination of the following languages: PHP, Python, Java, .Net, JavaScript/AJAX, C/C++, and/or C#
- Experience using web-related markup: HTML, xHTML, XML, CSS, and/or client-side scripting
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Understanding of enterprise systems integration and architecture
- Sound understanding of website development: usability, user interface and user experience design
- Strong working knowledge of technical concepts, practices, and procedures of web production, including client- and server-side development.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with a wide range of internal customers and external vendors.
- Ability to form and manage cross-departmental teams and lead efforts to quickly address problems and develop effective solutions.
