POSITION PURPOSE/MISSION:

Lead the enterprise-wide strategy, framework and approach for Charter Manufacturing leadership development, learning, organization capability, change management, talent management and talent acquisition. Work closely with human resources, executives and business and functional leaders across the organization as collaborative partners. Ensure alignment and integration of a talent management enterprise framework, tools and processes with business and functional needs and strategies, while fostering Charter’s culture, values and success formula.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Organization Development or related degree
  • Fifteen plus years’ relevant work experience in strategic and operational human resources leadership roles, with an emphasis on talent management and organization effectiveness.
  • Five plus years’ management experience
  • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing and leading enterprise-wide learning and development initiatives based on business needs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; highly collaborative leader with a track record of effectively leading organization change
  • Ability to lead through influence and manage multiple key stakeholders within and outside the organization
  • Exceptional communication, listening and presentation skills
  • Strategic and innovative thinker who has built and led a successful talent development organization
  • Proficient in the advanced features of Microsoft Office software or similar products
  • Willingness to travel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Organizational Development or related advanced degree

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Develop talent strategies in partnership with Human Resources Leaders, business leadership and Talent Management team members to align strategy with business needs and requirements and drive integrated talent management that enables Charter’s growth.
  • Provide talent program design, thought leadership and execution support.
  • Utilize high levels of resourcefulness, influence, organizational savvy, and execution skills (strategy through implementation) while exhibiting executive presence/impact to direct talent management strategy and practices in a decentralized operating model.
  • Serve as a resource to the CHRO on talent and organization effectiveness issues.
  • Establish target outcomes and objectives for the enterprise/organization (e.g., common and shared vs. customizable) related to talent management and talent acquisition, leadership development, organization capability and change management. Maintain governance over tool creation and selection.
  • Partner with the Director HRIS to organize and assimilate talent data to form insights to inform talent strategies for different talent pipelines and levels throughout the business.
  • Work directly with CHRO, Business Presidents and Human Resources Business Leaders to support enterprise organization capability through leading or overseeing development plans, succession and progression of Executives, top 50 leaders and top talent/high potential. Ensure key jobs are in place to meet current and future talent business needs, proactive planning for developmental moves for key leadership roles and building a strong leadership succession plan for the future.
  • Lead the design and management of the integrated Charter Manufacturing Leadership Model.
  • Serve as key point of integration across Charter businesses to ensure the enterprise philosophy, framework, design, tools and solutions for performance management, talent review and learning and development at all levels are informed by the talent capability requirements of the business.
  • Oversee the enterprise Talent Acquisition function and university relations to ensure the acquisition and movement of talent is orchestrated in a manner consistent with the Charter Manufacturing Employment Brand.
  • Lead, manage and set direction for the enterprise Talent Management team to optimize performance. Coach team members, create opportunities for team development and make decisions on hiring, performance management, recognition and rewards.
  • Manage relationships and negotiations with vendors to ensure the acquisition and implementation of appropriate custom-designed programs and products that support Charter’s talent management strategy and initiatives.
  • Follow Environmental, Quality and Safety Management System procedures and requirements.
