The Sales Vice President is responsible for driving revenue in each assigned office/region/account to meet revenue goals by developing effective business plans and sales strategies. The Sales Vice President provides leadership and direction to sales leaders and teams through effective communication, setting expectations, and monitoring and driving sales results.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for maintenance and new growth opportunities within region/territory/accounts
2. Increase strength in relationships with current national accounts including senior principals, producers, all sales and support hierarchy, and/or firms
3. Manage P & L / Contribution margin
4. Lead people managers and/or sales associates by providing direction and leadership
5. Develop strategic business plan for assigned region/territory/account ensuring long term office success and growth and conduct effective planning sessions
6. Develop sales strategies utilizing marketing and technology to increase sales in each office and assigned regions/territories/accounts
7. Monitor sales results and communicate results to sales leaders
8. Act as a liaison between sales leaders, sales associates and business leaders
9. Attract, develop and retain quality sales associates
10. Provide guidance and support to members of the team
11. Develop effective communication within the region/territory/account and with other departments
12. Create positive working relationships with all departments
13. Ensure sales organization is promoting and cross-selling products from other lines of business
14. Ensure sales organization is effectively utilizing the Advanced Sales Solution Center to increase average size premium
15. Ensure all locations are effectively sales focused in all job functions
16. Train and develop sales associates to develop product knowledge and sales skills
17. Define specific set of cases for managing priority business
18. Achieve balanced performance of sales associates on team
19. Develop target markets and blitz sessions, follow-up on marketing efforts
20. Develop, implement, and drive an effective lead generation and referral program
21. Set proper expectations with producers/accounts/territories
22. Achieve activity bench marks for new applications
23. Develop and execute long term growth plan to ensure region/territory/account success
Required Skills and Competencies:

1. Bachelor degree in business or a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
2. Effective interpersonal and written communication skills
3. Ten years of directly related senior sales management experience including proven experience in creating strategic business plans, project and financial management, and sales management
4. Ability to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
5. Effective time management skills
6. Ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously
7. Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment
8. Ability to work in a self-directed fashion
9. Ability to build strong, effective relationships as a leader, team member, and resource in the organization
10. Strong business acumen and general knowledge of service-profit chain methodologies
11. Strong operational and technical knowledge with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical associates
12. Strong sales background and presentation skills
13. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
14. Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
