This individual will serve as the U.S Strategic Sourcing NPI (New Product Introduction) & Category Manager for the New Port Richey facility (Aerospace) report to the Manager, Strategic Sourcing. This person will act in a duel role and will be responsible for the creation and delivery of Strategic Sourcing Strategies supporting New Product Introduction at the Site (60%) as well as Strategic Sourcing activities related to Pall’s direct and indirect requirements for the New Port Richey facility spanning $29.3M of Direct PVO (Purchasing Volume / Spend), and $14.1M of Indirect PVO. These activities will include, but not limited to significant interaction with the Internal US NPI team, the European NPI Strategic Sourcing lead, Sales, Engineering and Operational functions to provide Global Sourcing, Outsourcing, Insourcing and overall Sub Contract Management in line with corporate strategy. The role will require close interaction with the European Strategic Sourcing NPI lead as well as other Strategic Sourcing/Category Managers, both regionally and globally. This professional position will be responsible to assist in the creation and implement such strategies while supporting overall strategy of Pall’s Global Strategic Sourcing organization. This individual will be held accountable for various Strategic Sourcing KPI’s; including but not limited to, NPI time to Market, Purchase Price Change, Purchase Price Variance, Cost Reduction/Margin Enhancement, DPO/Supplier Payables, Global Value Sourcing/LCC Sourcing, e-Auctions, VAVE (Value Analysis Value Engineering) and Supplier Performance. This individual will manage several supplier relationships, formulate and negotiate critical supply contracts, including assembling and analyzing market data, evaluating supply alternatives and crafting negotiating strategies. Additionally, this individual will participate in continuously developing suppliers to meet Palls “Preferred/Qualified Suppliers/Grow” status (Forward Procurement List), participate in design reviews with engineering and suppliers on manufacturability & raw material selection in order to achieve most optimal component / service cost. This position will support, monitor, evaluate, and mentor the local tactical purchasing team members while ensuring policies and procedures regarding compliance, commitments, early involvement, supplier selection, supplier evaluation, and supplier development related to the category are understood, and implemented. – Own and deliver the Strategic Sourcing New Product Introduction Strategy 60 % – Interface with procurement team to establish “local” manufacturing site inputs / requirements are aligned with center led strategy. 10% – Design, lead, negotiate, and implement multiyear Pall contracts (as applicable) including RFQs and e Auctions. 10% – Maximize “year over year” working capital improvements. 10% – Assist in vendor transitions (Outsourcing, Insourcing, Vendor to Vendor) 10% – Support cross-functional efforts to reduce costs, standardize components through the VAVE process 10% – Bachelor’s degree in, Procurement, Engineering, Metallurgy, or related. – Minimum of 3 years of NPI Procurement or NPI Program Management / strategic sourcing / category management experience. – Aerospace experience with both commercial and military preferred – Proven negotiation skills, with demonstrated performance results – Global sourcing experience for a global multinational manufacturing company. – Highly analytical – SAP user – Experienced with the usage of electronic sourcing tools for RFI, RFQ, Reverse Auction Position Competencies – Knowledgeable of aerospace and defense programs, customers and products. – Ability to communicated effectively with all levels internally and externally. – Ability to develop relationships with suppliers. – Ability to travel as required, but no more than 5% expected. – Competent PC skill sets (Microsoft Office, especially Excel) Other Requirements – Gregarious, out-going and energetic individual – Entrepreneurial in nature – External and internal customer focused – Service oriented – Quality oriented – Well spoken Diversity & Inclusion At Danaher, we are dedicated to building and sustaining a truly diverse and inclusive culture.
