Global Operations, Strategy, Planning and Design
Responsible for implementing project initiatives within the Airport Operations and Global Ops Strategy/Planning Design division for one or more global regions. Leads and directs a team of stakeholders in the planning and execution of station openings, closings, mainline to express conversions, express to mainline conversions, line of service vendor transitions and terminal moves.
Defines methodologies for project standardization, prioritization and systems to capture costs associated with market entrance and exits to support corporate decisions on profit versus revenue. Identifies, assembles, and provides leadership and direction to cross-divisional team to ensure successful implementation. Develops and administers systems and procedures that allow station management to successfully manage vendor performance and compliance. Position requires 40% – 60% travel

Provides strategic leadership during project management and execution for cross divisional stakeholder team to ensure issues are addressed and roadblocks eliminated

Collaborates with corporate training, station personnel and planning organizations. Works with Government Affairs/Regulatory staff in supporting market entrance requirements with foreign national governments.

Directs team in a continuous improvement approach to incorporate learning’s from each project to refine, improve and upgrade project models, increase market flexibility and reduce operational and regulatory risk. Develops and administers systems and procedures that allow station management to successfully manage vendor performance and compliance.
- Bachelors Degree or 4+ year equivalent experience
- Minimum 4+ years experience in Airport Operations or related background.
- Multi discipline field leadership experience with preference for
- General Manager experience.
- Experience in large project management initiatives and working cross divisionally.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and presentation skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in facilitating, delegating and motivating cross functional groups or activities
- Exposure with change management/facilitation, enterprise communication and training
- Highly organized, and the ability to multi-task competing priorities
- Provide leadership, guidance, influence and mentoring for project teams
- Experience with process/system mapping and analysis
- Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Microsoft Suite -Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project proficiency
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
- Experience managing and mentoring project management staff
- Airline industry experience a plus
- Project management Professional (PMP)
