GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Product Manager is the strategic partner to the marketing, sales, and supply chain organizations to drive focus in commercial activities and sourcing to grow revenue and margin with the existing product portfolio. S/he also works closely with the R&D and Business Development Teams to create a long-term product roadmap and is responsible for commercializing those new products.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate the commercial viability of product development, partnerships, or acquisitions by conducting and analyzing research on customers, competitors, the market, and technologies. Use findings to create and iterate on the 3-5-year product roadmap to be executed by the R&D and Business Development Teams.
  • Commercialize new products by creating a comprehensive marketing plan including target markets and personas, sales enablement tools, and supply chain strategy.
  • Expand margin in current product portfolio by improving price attainment or decreasing cost in collaboration with the commercial, supply chain, and operations leaders.
  • Improve USP’s brand awareness, brand reputation, and customer sentiment by creating a marketing plan to include online/social content, media relations, and trade shows/conferences.
  • Guide the marketing organization in its tactical execution of the marketing plan and in generating qualified leads for the sales team.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in product management, upstream marketing, or related field
