    Job Description

    KRB Kitchen and Bath Design Center is looking for experienced, hardworking Lead Carpenters to join our team. We specialize in high-end Custom Kitchens and Bathrooms. The qualified candidate needs to possess exceptional attention to detail / organization skills, be able to balance and prioritize multiple jobs and have outstanding leadership skills.

    As a lead, you will be the driving force from start to completion of company projects using organization, expertise and management skills. You will supervise staff and resources as necessary to achieve the overall goals of the company.

    Key Responsibilities will include the following:

    1. Ensure company and customer satisfaction through professional appearance, expert workmanship and polite communication.

    2. Attend all company/client meetings approved by the Production Manager.

    3. Once a project is sold attend the pre-construction meeting at the showroom with the Salesperson, Production Manager and Office Manager to go over the details of the project and scope of work. Writing on plans and taking notes is highly encouraged.

    4. Attend and run the on-site pre-construction meeting with the Salesperson and homeowner. This is to ensure customer satisfaction as well as customer trust that their Project Manager knows everything there is to know about their project which creates a smooth handoff to production.

    5. Create an anticipated project schedule (critical path) in advance of project commencement, adjust the schedule as needed based on production realities. Advise subcontractors of the proposed schedule. Verify and confirm material lead times and purchase orders as needed to maintain an efficient schedule.

    6. On a daily basis, inform the Production Manager of the progress of the project, including any concerns, problems, delays, etc.

    7. On a weekly basis, inform the Salesperson who sold the project of any customer concerns, problems, changes or delays, etc.

    8. Give written approval on subcontractor’s invoices working on your project. This is to ensure the work they are invoicing for is complete.

    9. Supervise the activities of the company’s field carpenters and/or independent subcontractors, which include oral and written communication as needed.

    10. Responsible for the efficient and profitable use of the company’s time, manpower and materials on each project as included in project estimate sheets.

    11. Responsible for tracking the progress and profitability of the projects assigned to them by the Production Manager.

    12. Ensure the image of the company is supported by the appearance and activities of the installation teams and job sites.

    13. Maintain an operational inventory of necessary tools, equipment, safety equipment and vehicles to perform specific activities assigned by the Production Manager.

    14. Receive progress payments and final payment from the client upon completion of the project or as directed by the Production Manager.

    15. Assist in the company’s marketing program as directed by management, which may include: canvassing, home shows, job site marketing, customer satisfaction, etc.

    16. Attend seminars and shows recommended by management to obtain new product knowledge and new installation procedures.

    17. Seek additional responsibility and guidance from company management employees as needed to enhance existing skills, learn new skills, and create a potential for advancement within the company.

    Qualifications

    Prior experience in the remodeling industry – framing, cabinetry, tile, flooring, etc.

    Good working knowledge of wood properties and other carpentry materials and the use of all necessary tools is a must.

    Problem-solving and ability to take initiative throughout the construction process.

    Excellent communication skills for interaction with other employees, trade partners and customers.

    The desire to meet company and personal goals.

    Willingness to comply with safety guidelines, at all times

    Pass a background check.

    Honesty & Integrity is a must.

    Proof of Documentation required to work in the USA.
