GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES
AGA’s Infusion Nurse Manager assists the Director of Ancillary services to facilitate smooth and efficient infusion operations with a focus on items such as service schedule templates, inter-department relationships, provider, staff and patient communication and use of our practice management and EMR systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Collaborates with Director of Ancillary Services in the day-to-day operational aspects of infusion services, including development of the project plan, follow up with the project team,
  • Responsible for the oversight and management of all front and back office functions of the infusion division which includes 10+ infusion centers throughout the state
  • Ensure the provision of quality care and customer service within the infusion department through the design and implementation of departmental processes/procedures as well as the successful resolution of physician, patient, and staff concerns
  • Works with the Director of Ancillary Services to maintain infusion staff responsibilities and appropriate staffing levels as well as participate in staff recruiting and training efforts
  • Focus on operational effectiveness by emphasizing efficient processes, cost containment efforts, and high quality patient care
  • Serve as the point person for processes and functions contained within the practice management system, and EMR system
  • Maintain knowledge of and comply with policies and procedures including government, insurance, and third-party payer regulations
  • All other duties and projects as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Registered Nurse (RN) and/or a Bachelor’s degree in management, industrial engineering, or related field preferred. Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills with consistent attention to detail. Strong creative thinking and analytical skills. Experience in project management and adhering to department budgets. Three to five years of experience in project, team, and office management preferred. Experience in healthcare-related field preferred.

Infusion Nurse Manager must be able to:

  • Plan, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks as delegated
  • Work under pressure; assess, respond to, and communicate issues in a timely manner
  • Maintain composure and set a professional example for coworkers
  • Communicate clearly with patients, clients, and coworkers through the telephone, email, and in-person
  • Build positive working relationships with Administrative Team, Office Managers, Ancillary Staff, Office Staff, and Providers
  • Interpret and apply appropriate policies and procedures
  • Be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
  • Maintain the strictest confidentiality

PHYSICAL/MENTAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment. Requires travel within the state of Georgia.
