Food Service Director

Central Solution Services is seeking an experienced Food Service Director for skilled nursing and rehabilitation center located in the Syracuse, NY. As part of the management team, the food service director will report to the Regional Manager and oversee the dietary operations and ensure that CSS standards of quality, service, and cleanliness are being met. Other responsibilities include adhering to budget parameters, sanitation, safety, regulatory compliance, preparation and service of food, staffing and recruitment, and maintaining established costs and quality standards to ensure superior service and quality.

The Food Service Director will interview, orient, train, and schedule new staff employees and ensure that standards and systems are followed on a regular and consistent basis. He / She will participate in the planning and execution of special food related facility events. Performs related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements;

• Two or more years of experience in food service management, preferably Long-term Care.
• Must have strong interpersonal and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets
• Knowledge of regulatory and sanitation standards
• Must be able to pass a Department of Health background check
• Knowledge of Mealtracker software is a plus
• CDM is preferred
• Candidates must successfully complete a Department of Health Criminal History Record Check
