The Enterprise Portfolio Manager (EPM) is a servant leader created for the purpose of supporting Fabtex’s strategic planning, program and project management, business performance reviews, and process improvement functions.

The Enterprise Portfolio Manager (EPM) main responsibility is to work closely with the Executive Management and business users to manage and execute successful business solution project delivery, that is focused on helping the operational efficacy and excellence of the organization. The EPM understands a project’s business and technology requirements and processes and then helps deliver the proposed business solution, which usually involves implementing business transformation and technology components.

Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Establish process improvement tools and methodology to be utilized throughout the Enterprise.
  • Responsible for identifying candidate projects for process improvement.
  • Partner and collaborate with PPMO office to reconcile business strategic goals, trade-offs, prioritization of all Enterprise projects and guide internal resources allocation.
  • Provide process improvement training to project personnel/management.
  • Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.
  • Takes input from the supervisor and appropriately and accurately applies comments/feedback.
  • Understands the necessity of project standards and applies them consistently.
  • Develops internal and external meeting objectives and agendas.
  • Prioritizes multiple tasks effectively.
  • Understands the components of running a fiscally successful project.

Analysis & Solution Definition

  • Understands client organization’s direction, structure, and requirements.
  • Analyzes data and prepares business models to assist with design requirements.
  • Documents and analyzes required information, data, workflow, and processes.
  • Prepares requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations.

Enterprise Strategic Plan & Annual Business Plan

  • Develop and manage Fabtex’s strategic business plan
  • Facilitate ROI and benefit realization exercise with Executive Management.
  • Establish and maintain project management methodology.
  • Responsible Fabtex Enterprise Portfolio Management, Governance, Oversight, Escalation.
  • Sheppard Fabtex’s Enterprise Services Large Programs through Project Management Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Develop Fabtex’s business case development, identifies and documents business and department deficiencies and recommends solutions.
  • Project intake and prioritization in and across business units.
  • Communication with Executive Sponsor and Investor.
  • Amended budget request escalation and portfolio planning, portfolio reporting and communications.

Strategic Operational Management

  • Set clear targets for each business unit and define business thread holds that executive management leadership intends to execute and/or deliver against in the coming year.
  • Work closely with business leaders to pursue business objectives articulated by the leadership/executive management team in the plan and creates accountability within and across all divisions.
  • Actively contributes to internal programs and serves as a critical communication tool across the Enterprise.
  • Shares acquired skills with team members through formal and informal channels.
  • Proactively seeks opportunities to broaden and deepen knowledge base and proficiencies.
  • Work with the Operations management team to prepare statements of work, project cost analysis, and manage project communications at all levels of the organization.
  • Interface with Executive Management (EM) team to develop business data reports and executive financial dashboards to support forecasting, highlight deterioration areas that need attention/improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic business operations, portfolio management, resource management, process improvements, project accounting, TFS, Jira, Zoho, Infor M3, Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 6-Sigma/BPM/Project Management Professional (PMP) required.
