The Director provides leadership to assigned department managers, who in turn are responsible for supervising and evaluating the quality of care provided within the department. This includes development and implementation of the budget.
The Director fosters positive relationships with physicians, other directors and associates of both the assigned department and other departments of the Hospital System. The Director is a participating member of the Leadership Team and along with other Directors is responsible for eliminating barriers that impede operations between departments and facilities.
Position Requirements
Baccalaureate or graduate degree in Nursing required from an accredited college or university. Graduate Degree strongly preferred.
At least ten years of experience in healthcare management.
Five to seven years of progressive management experience in a Womenâs Services facility or program.
Verbal, written and active listening communication skills to the extent that the director can effectively inform, motivate and persuade customers.
Current State of GA nursing license required
