Danaher is looking for a Corporate Development professional to help strategically and in-organically build out its $20B business. With a strong deal reputation (15-20 deals/yr), $4B+ in annual cash flow, and material debt capacity, DHR is poised to invest to win via further acquisitions, divestitures, equity investments, & JV’s. Key Responsibilities: – Perform due diligence, including financial analysis & risk assessments in support of proposed transactions – Execute transactions including process management, structuring, negotiations, and closing deals – Advise and drive deal teams of subject matter experts from Corporate and operating companies to complete required work and reach investment recommendations – Manage cross-functional due diligence teams with a hands-on, team-oriented approach – Ensure effective management of post-closing deal terms and hand-off to integration teamsEducation and/or Experience: – 3+ years’ M&A deal experience at top-tier corporate development group, PE or law firm, or investment bank – Bachelor’s degree required, and MBA or JD preferred – Substantial life sciences experience required, either via work experience or scientific / technical education – Work experience in a 2nd discipline, e.g. finance diligence, acct/finance, strategy, etc. strongly preferred – Experience with international deals, venture capital deal, or continuous improvement cultures a plus – *Note: If interested, along with a resume, please include a deal sheet with buy-side/sell-side deals The successful candidate will: – Demonstrate an ability to listen, understand unfamiliar businesses and transaction concepts quickly – Be creative, intellectually curious, self-starting and possess a strong work ethic – Possess strong judgment to form independent points of view on risks and opportunities on deals – Communicate clearly and concisely, distilling complex subjects into actionable decision frames – Demonstrate presence, credibility, integrity and trustworthiness in highly confidential situations – Build, critique, and refine financial models with strong financial, quantitative and analytical skills – Have strong interpersonal skills and interact at multiple levels both inside and outside DHR – Exemplify humility in leading teams to difficult goals, with an apolitical and non-bureaucratic approach – Be able to work in tactical and strategic realms, addressing commercial, financial risk and legal issues – Prioritize effectively in real time, multi-task on several projects and have strong organization skills – Be familiar with typical legal & economic deal terms and alternative approaches to risk allocation – Participate in spirited give-and-take discussions about his/her work and have a thick skin – Focuses on shareholder value – understands linkage between personal success & corporate value creation – Be willing and able to travel as required, including on short notice
