The Director, Advanced Analytic Services provides primary oversight to the Washington External Quality Review contract, with a scope that is intended to increase to support a dynamic and growing portfolio of analytic-based service offerings. The individual in this role is a data enthusiast and translator who can move easily between conversations with analysts on topics related to measurement and in the next to conversations with senior leaders in a community to discuss implications for systems transformation. On a day-to-day basis this may include strategic program oversight, community convening, or diving into the data to support the creation of deliverables that draw actionable insights from data.

Key components of this role include:

  • Operational oversight of a portfolio of contracts related to multi-stakeholder data aggregation and analysis and, specifically, to start the WA External Quality Review work which has significant comparative data analysis components; Director, Advanced Analytic Services oversees all contract deliverables to ensure neutrality, high quality, and integrity.
  • Face to state entities, clinicians, payers, and other key stakeholders, with the ability to understand the audience’s needs and sense make in relation to available data
  • Lead on business development activities related to this portfolio of work, including interfacing with states and other parties interested in developing core infrastructure, data aggregation and linking, and advanced analyses in health care.
  • Strategic driver of the importance of a cross-continuum perspective on data and analytics that allows communities to benefit from the insights from bringing stakeholders together, with the ability to drill into complex data to highlight pointed, actionable insights
  • Strong ability to manage teams directly, but more importantly through influence; this work often requires a complex set of perspectives on a short timeline, requiring superb time management and people coordination skills
  • Ability and willingness to dive in and do the work, supporting data validation, report writing, conversations with community stakeholders, and other needs as they arise

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated business development track record, translating customer needs to offerings and the execution of contracts
  • Knowledge of quality measures, claims data, and the applications to quality improvement, with a high degree of comfort leading conversations and engaging SMEs
  • Knowledge of trends and literature in payment and clinical transformation as it relates to value-based payment and total cost of care
  • Comfort and experience with trends in the behavioral health domain
  • Interest and aptitude for translating data to any audience, visually and in writing
  • Experience with executing data use agreements and business associate agreements

Required Experience

  • 7+ years of relevant contract or program leadership experience, with demonstrated success
  • 3+ years of management or supervisor experience
  • BA / BS in statistics, public health, or a related field (equivalent combination of education and work experience may be substituted)
  • MA / MS in one of the above fields preferred
