Construction Project Manager

Job Summary

Phillips Hardy Inc. is seeking a seasoned professional in the Heavy Highway industry to fulfill the responsibilities of a Construction Project Manager in Columbia Missouri. The responsibilities of the project manager will be to oversee the work of the construction team or teams responsible for various scopes of work. The Construction PM is responsible for ensuring the conformance of the work with project plans and specifications.

The ideal candidate should be very diverse in their field experience and will have a general understanding for managing scopes of work such as:

• Grading
• Drainage
• Utilities
• Concrete paving
• Highway and bridge construction

Responsibilities:

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Oversight and management of field operations
• Scheduling of all site resources, work quality/quality control
• Subcontractor/supplier coordination
• All aspects of project-site safety.

Qualifications and Skills

• 1+ years of heavy civil/bridge construction experience
• 1+ years of prior project management experience
• Knowledge of the heavy highway construction industry is a must. The successful candidate will show an ability to manage multiple tasks, and possess strong interpersonal/communication skills.
• Familiarity working with City, State and Federal government agencies (Departments of Transportation and/or U.S. Army Corps of Engineers) is desirable.
• The candidate needs to be very organized and possession of computer skill are a must. Electronic document management will be an everyday responsibility.
