Job Summary: Implement program philosophies and guidelines in the Child Development Centers (CDC). Supervise staff and manage allaspects of assigned Center.
Pay Rate: $16.70
Primary Tasks:
1. Ensure proper staff coverage during all operating hours of the Center; fill in for absent teachers as necessary; supervise center staff by communicating performance
expectations, policies, and procedures ensuring a courteous, caring, professional, service-oriented environment for the children.
2. Assess fiscal and program needs of the center and prepare budget accordingly
3. Identify developmental needs of children, professional needs of staff members, and support needs of families and act in accordance to meet those: needs as best as possible within confines of authority and program guidelines
4. Plan, supervise, and implement the programs of the Center in accordance with the policies, licensing, and philosophy of the program; carry out various designated administrative duties to ensure the proper operation
5. Ensure that all monthly reports are completed properly and in a timely manner and submitted to the appropriate persons
6. Monitor and ensure the nutritional component of the center is in compliance with USDA regulations and that required records are up to date, filed and reported
7. Administer and adhere to all personnel and operational policies; maintain appropriate records such as, school bus and center transportation (including parents’ permission to transport forms,) and children’s records with appropriate, up to date, required papers and documentation in accordance with licensing regulations
8. Conduct parent/teacher conferences concerning children’s needs or behaviors as appropriate.
9. Conduct staff meetings, attend director’s meetings, and attend training and conferences or professional organizations appropriate for child development centers

Required Education, Skills and Experience:
MINIMUM

Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood education or related field

Possess and maintain Bronze level in accordance with Appendix L-2, Oklahoma Director’s Credential
-
Strong interpersonal skills, multitasking ability, and time management skills

Ability to work independently with minimum direction and communicate quickly and effectively both orally and in writing

Knowledge and ability to work with appropriate software applications

Able to perform the physical requirements of the job that may include lifting up to 55 pounds, frequent standing, walking, bending, and kneeling

Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record

Experience in in child development or early childhood education

- Must obtain a bus driving certificate and CDL within first 90 days of employment
