A DAY IN YOUR LIFE AS AN ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER

As an Assistant Project Manager with Murphree Paving, you are the glue that keeps everything together and running smoothly.

You schedule and coordinate crews, trucks, and mix asphalt and/or concrete on a weekly and daily basis to ensure that everything arrives at the job sites on time and in the right quantities. Your great interpersonal skills assist you in communicating effectively with crew, Project Managers & Superintendents, and external suppliers.

Out in the field, you take comprehensive notes and help to make sure that preventive maintenance on equipment occurs on schedule and that safety measures are adhered to at all times. When challenging situations arise, such as bad weather or customer date changes, you easily adapt. By managing your time effectively, you are able to work on a variety of projects at once.

Your eagerness to learn and apply new skills; take ownership of issues as they arise; work independently but also as part of a team; and keep Superintendents and Project Managers in the communication loop, are what makes you a great Assistant Project Manager.
