The Director of Admissions needs to be a key partner with other staff of the facilities, marketing staff and all referring agencies. This shall be achieved through communication on the needs of the key partners, follow up on all requests and a customer service approach to securing residents/patients for the Villa Healthcare Center.
The key function of the Director of Admissions is to assist customers (and their families) and referring agencies in order to secure the services they need through providing information on the Villa Healthcare Center.
Under the supervision of the Administrator, assumes responsibility of admissions.
Provide clients (prospective residents and their families and referral sources) with facility and program specific information via community outreach and networking, facility tours, personal visits and assessments presentations and follow up.
Assist with directing the admissions process and ensure appropriate placement, coordinate admission documentation.
To participate in the facility specific sales and marketing team in development and implementation of the marketing/sales plan.
To continually monitor the needs and service satisfaction levels within the community and to alert the facility management staff of new or changing demands.
To evaluate and assess potential patients for clinical appropriateness, sub acute potentially high risk and managed care referrals.
Communicates with Director of Nursing/Admission
Coordinator regarding special patient needs, physician and/or Insurance Case Manager objectives/plan and patient/family dynamics and expectations.
Follows all Villa’s policies and procedures.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to the Administrator and indirectly to the Regional/Corporate Support Personnel. Communicates with all necessary team members.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school degree or equivalency. Preference for individuals with a Bachelor’s Degree in an area relating to health, human services or customer service
