About the role…

As the VP of Marketing and Communications, you will be in a key leadership position at Cedarhurst Senior Living. You will be responsible for all digital and traditional marketing for the company, including lead-generating activities for Cedarhurst’s portfolio of senior living communities. You will also be responsible for brand development and brand management, and will partner closely with the VP of Sales and drive occupancy by introducing more seniors to the experience of life at Cedarhurst.

Qualifications, Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in marketing, communication or other related field.
  • Minimum of seven (7) or more years’ experience in marketing, public relations or communications.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in the senior living or related field preferred.
  • Proven successful social media / digital marketing campaigns from development to execution.
  • Demonstrated proactive, collaborative and high-level strategic thinking.
  • Highly effective project management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and competing priorities with minimal direction while meeting deadlines and delivering results.
  • Must possess strong organizational, analytical, critical thinking and problem -solving skills.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and the ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with diverse groups of people at all levels, including executive staff.
  • Must exhibit and promote a service-oriented outlook and attitude.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and demonstrate dependability with a strong work ethic.
  • Must possess an appreciation of seniors and an understanding of the aging process.
