Position Summary:

The Vice President of Information Technology (IT) has overall responsibility and accountability for all IT functions including oversight of the technical or non-business functions. This includes networking, telecommunications, audio/visual, hardware and technical support services. Responsible and accountable for the quality, reliability, and accuracy of all IT systems used by the property including the security and physical integrity of all said systems. This position is also responsible for forecasting and managing both capital and operating budget for all areas.Develops long-term plans designed to maintain cost-effectiveness and competitiveness of IT infrastructure, networks, systems and storage. Provides day-to-day and strategic direction to a multi-functional management team with a focus on superior guest service.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

· Provide superior guest service.

· Provides tactical and day-to-day direction to a multi-functional staff based on communicated business priorities.

· Define and communicate project milestones, service level agreements, and resource allocation to executive IT leadership, department leads, support staff, and end-users.

· Oversee provision of end-user services, including help desk and tech support services.

· Assist in the development and implementation of all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, DR/BC, standards and service provision.

· Review the performance of IT infrastructure and systems to determine operating costs, productivity levels, and upgrade requirements.

· Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.

· Assist in creating and maintaining an annual capital and operational to a specified variance threshold

· Ensure associated skill-centers are staffed and trained appropriately to meet department, business and enterprise needs.

· Direct assigned research on potential technology solutions and implementations in support of new initiatives, opportunities, and procurement efforts.

· Ensure proper manual or automated controls are in place to safeguard information and financial assets and to keep the overall IT environment secure.

· Responsible for ensuring that tools or technology are implemented to reduce the overall risk to the enterprise’s information security assets while maximizing property technology spend.

· Serves as a coach and mentor to direct reports and team members.

· Assists in the maintenance and enforcement of the established enterprise Shared Services Agreement and ensure that property IT team members adhere to ongoing collaboration efforts amongst all Mohegan properties.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or Information Systems
  • Ten (10) years of progressive Information Technology experience
  • Five (5) years of experience in the Casino industry
  • In lieu of Casino industry experience, five (5) years’ experience in a high-volume technology environment: insurance, finance, gaming, or internet retail
  • Four (4) years of experience as a Manager of Information Technology with seven (7) or more FTEs
  • Progressive experience in networking, telecommunications, A/V, systems and technical support services
  • Ability to obtain and maintain gaming licensure in the State of Washington
  • Ability to direct a 24x7x365 environment
  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Washington State gaming experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must sit in front of a computer screen for extended periods of time
  • 5-10% travel may be required for this position
  • Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
  • Must be willing to work in a smoking environment when on the casino floor
