We are looking for a Vice President to join our Purpose team! You would have experience and a desire to work on high profile accounts that do meaningful work (i.e. purpose, social impact, environmental and sustainability programs). Your experience would include NGO partnerships and corporate responsibility!

About the Job

We’re in need of someone who has a deep passion for and experience in CSR, environment, sustainability and purpose communications. Our new team member would be strategic, creative, collaborative, detail-oriented and fun! In the role, you would:

  • Act as primary contact to Purpose clients, continually fostering client-agency relationship to build trust and become a valuable resource to clients
  • Perform a wide range of duties including development of client programs, strategic planning, staff development and financial management, while serving as key liaison among client, account team and agency management
  • Provide strategic guidance to clients on an ongoing basis; anticipate and address clients’ needs; troubleshoot clients’ problems as they arise; seek senior management input whenever appropriate
  • Lead development of creative campaigns that deliver results, working with specialty teams on research, insight-driven creative and strategy deployed across communications channels (paid-earned-shared-owned)
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively develop and edit full range of materials, including media materials, byline articles, speeches, client correspondences, press release and reports
  • Strive to develop the best communication and presentation skills possible to clearly and passionately articulate ideas to clients, colleagues and others
  • Access agency’s network of resources to deliver greatest value to clients
  • Work with account team(s) to build incremental business
  • Communicate account status to agency management regularly
  • Participate in new business and thought leadership programming and presentations
  • Demonstrate and develop presentation, negotiation and problem-solving skills; Stay on top of trends in the industry, bringing them to the attention of clients and associates, as appropriate

Qualifications

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful performance would qualify. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
  • Nine plus years of agency and/or in-house public relations experience
  • Demonstrated track record in building strong client relationships and delivering programs that exceed anticipated results in the area of CSR, Sustainability and / or Purpose (Specialty expertise areas may include but are not limited to cause-marketing, sustainability and ESG reporting, community impact and relations, employee engagement, social and environmental policy, influencer and nonprofit coalition building, etc.)
  • Proven track record in growing business
  • Broad-based exposure to all skill areas, including proposal planning, writing and presentations, media relations, and consultative selling
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships clients, colleagues and vendors
  • Exceptional oral and written communications skills; captivating presenter and great listener; strong negotiating, persuasion and diplomacy skills #LI-ML IND13
