JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
-
Responsible for the oversight, evaluation, and direction of Samaritan Medical Group (SMG) operations and administrative functions. Collaborates with system and site-based leadership to identify and plan for resource needs to ensure efficient and effective operations of the medical group. Develops and executes key strategic initiatives that extend the reach of the mission of SHS. Works closely with the CMO, Boards and clinicians to plan, operate and promote SMG to best serve the community and service area.

The Clinic Administration teams at Samaritan Health Services are committed to providing leadership and operational support for our physicians, advanced practice clinicians and all other employees that deliver care in our outpatient clinic practices.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. Master’s degree or equivalent health care management experience preferred.
2. Eight (8) years in healthcare administration with progressively increasing responsibility required.
3. An in-depth knowledge of health law issues, including antitrust, physician relationships, contracts, tax-exempt status, Medicare/Medicaid, corporate law and other related health regulations required.
4. Experience or training demonstrating a broad understanding of the health care environment and issues unique to that environment required.
5. Experience or training analyzing, organizing, prioritizing and making critical decisions required.
6. Experience or training communicating (both written and verbal) with people under a wide array of circumstances required.
