General Summary:
Action Nissan is seeking an experienced and motivated Used Car Sales Manager to join us in supporting our dealership staff and customers while assisting us in building and representing our brand. Use your retail management experience, leadership, and interpersonal skills to inspire exceptional performance. As a member of the store leadership team, you will:
Essential Functions:
- Setting a clear vision and goals for the sales team to achieve targeted performance in used vehicle sales.
- Work directly with employees and customers to develop relationships and help to enhance the sales process.
- Build rapport with customers to establish customer network.
- Provide training and support to the sales staff and assist in closing deals.
- Foster a work environment that encourages continuous improvement, productivity and employee satisfaction.
- Help manage all other aspects of the pre-owned sales department.
- Support training efforts that result in consistent demonstration of Action Nissan’s selling process.
- Effective use of advertising that drives vehicle sales.
- Appraise vehicles, manage used car reconditioning.
- Acquire inventory for the sales lot.
- Manage used car activities during scheduled hours of operation and delegates duties as assigned by the General Sales Manager.
- Manage pricing of all used vehicles, including assignment of price and accurate posting on all cars.
- Manage vehicle trade costs to support used vehicle sales and minimize wholesale losses and consistently perform trade appraisals according to defined standards and process.
- Manage and monitor systems and procedures for used car deliveries.
- Administer checks and balances to assure deal accuracy and financial integrity.
- Manage activities for prompt resolution of customer issues.
- Assure consistent execution of management practices that enhance customer service indexes, referrals and repeat used car business.
- Achieve consistently high levels of documented employee and customer satisfaction with sales department experiences as measured by manufacturer and dealership sponsored surveys.
- Responsible for planning, assigning, instructing and reviewing work of others, coordinating activities, allocating personnel, and acting on employee issues.
- Monitor and support achievement of monthly sales goals by team.
- Assure scheduling of sales team to meet daily demand.
- Monitor communication channels for the highest levels of effectiveness and efficiency.
- Support training efforts that result in consistent demonstration of dealership’s selling process.
- Maintain a stable and professional sales team that consistently meets or exceeds productivity and customer service standards.
Requirements:
- Experience in used car sales.
- Prior sales experience.
- Ability to drive an exceptional customer experience.
- Excellent communication, and follow-up skills.
- High level of Integrity.
- Leadership abilities to train, coach, mentor, and develop a team.
- Self-motivated, goal oriented, and ability to work within a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of inventory control.
- Strong computer & phone skills (Internet, MS Outlook, Excel, Word etc.).
- Professional appearance and strong work ethic.
- Current, valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
