Description:
Reporting to the VP US Business Marketing, the Strategic Field Marketing Senior Leader will provide strategic marketing leadership and management required to drive the development, integration and execution of the regional and national-level Field Marketing Plans aligned with local and enterprise business goals.
The Strategic Field Marketing Senior Leader will act as partner and advisor to the sales teams; leading marketing engagement, strategy and execution. He/she provides strategic guidance to the field marketing team to not only deliver on objectives but continually seek new ways to improve how we engage and support customers and partners on a national, regional and local level. To be successful, the Strategic Field Marketing Lead will need to proactively partner with and influence senior leaders across the business including Market Leaders as well as Marketing colleagues representing Buyer Groups, Solutions, Centers of Excellence and Global Marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively partner with Senior Market Leadership to define and develop business-aligned marketing strategies, establish relationship based on shared accountability for success.
- Provide strategic coaching and development to a team of experienced marketing professionals, ensuring that each Field Marketing professional serves as a proactive trusted advisor and partner to his/her Market Leadership team to not only deliver on objectives but continually seek new ways to improve on how we engage and support our customers and partners
- Develop and execute on a strategy to build/strengthen/leverage relationships within local markets to deepen connections to existing and potential clients, brokers/producers, providers and other key partners
- Identify business opportunities to support overall growth plans with an emphasis on developing and growing all business channels
- Assess existing businesses for ways to increase growth and penetration of key earnings drivers; assist in identifying opportunities for marketing new and existing solutions
- Lead cross-functional strategic level marketing projects and programs across Global Marketing teams, including the Buyer Groups, Enterprise Solutions and Marketing Centers of Excellence
- Drive marketing and communications planning processes; facilitate cross departmental prioritization and coordination discussions
- Develop and manage the regional and nationwide Field Marketing Plans ensuring adoption and effectiveness
- Work with executives and subject matter experts to create differentiating content and thought leadership to aid the sales funnel
- Define local marketing measurement / metrics and drive alignment / adoption of metrics throughout all regions
- Lead cross functional efforts to establish the desired infrastructure required to support field marketing, including; IT, Digital, Compliance, Legal, Finance and more
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Finance or related field; MBA preferred
- 10-15+ years experience working in Marketing and/or Operations roles with Fortune 500 companies
- 7+ years experience leading team of direct reports, including experienced Managers
- Prior experience in sales or sales leadership strongly preferred
- Expert communicator; excellent oral and written communication skills, able to read people and engage accordingly
- Demonstrated ability to influence others; excellent win/win negotiation skills
- Enterprise thinker with proven ability to influence across a matrix environment
- Strong financial acumen and P&L experience; has a track record of achieving bottom-line results by managing against well-created strategic plans and thoughtfully leveraging relationships
- Passion and energy for achieving results through others; influences and inspires other to achieve
- Ability to travel up to 25%, flex as business need dictate
