Candidates must have a strong background in business systems analysis with demonstrated ability to work with internal and external clients to identify technology solutions, write business requirements and provide programming direction to internal and external development teams. The candidate must have experience with the institutional the trade-flow process, reconciliations and data management. Exposure to Custody, Fund Accounting, Middle Office, Transfer Agency and their surrounding functions and systems is expected.
Candidates must have a strong background in Project Management with knowledge and expertise across the full SDLC (Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid), and experience of PMO coordination, ideally within Investment Banking, Consultancy or Technology industries. Responsibility will include close project tracking for adherence to development methodology, financial constraints and scheduling.
The Business Analyst and Project Manager will be responsible for working with different business and technology teams in multiple geographic locations and will be both internal and client facing. The candidate will possess and demonstrate excellent communications and organizational skills.
The Business Analyst and Project manager is a senior-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way and to report on project status, issues , risks and progress. The overall objective of this role is to own the process of collecting and documenting user and business requirements, manage the development life-cycle and assist in the testing and release of the technology solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop creative technical solutions to meet business needs and manage complex, high volume applications in partnership with business partners and stakeholders
- Analyze current technology production environment and champion solutions that meet user needs and contribute to operational efficiencies.
- Write business requirements based on user needs and organizational goals while understanding the impact of changes to the overall technology ecosystem.
- Manage multiple work stream and applications across geographies and user groups
- Contribute to formulation of strategies/processes for Product Road map, Development and Governance and contribute to defining standards and new automation initiatives
- Provide advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business and filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- Experience of delivering complex technical projects involving multiple stakeholders
- Experience writing business requirements, system flows and test cases.
- Experience with SDLC processes â Agile/Waterfall methodology
- Experience with managing projects, tasks, workflow and reporting
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio
- Strong listening, presentation, communication, and influencing skills.
- Strong attention to detail in management reporting
- Ability to produce high quality work under own initiative while under pressure
Qualifications:- Degree-educated; either in a financial discipline or else IT
- PMP, Prince 2 or similar project management certification preferred
