Cloud Sourcing and Supply Chain (CSSC) organization within CSCP manages sourcing and supply of IT hardware for the data centers. Well-defined and executed sourcing and supply chain management ensures reliable on-time performance, optimized cost, prevents urgent and unplanned investments, and provides accurate and timely information across the supply base and internally across the infrastructure organization. The role of Cloud Supply Chain Director will lead a team responsible for the oversight and execution of our integrated Cloud Server Technologies supporting all Cloud Dedicated solutions. They will be part of the supply chain operations team under CSSC focusing on the following key areas:
- Material management (30%)
- Fulfilment (30%)
- Program Management (20%)
- Supplier performance and compliance (20%)
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be the leader responsible for managing the supply chain operations for integrated Cloud Server Technology for Microsoft’s Cloud.
- Lead and develop a high performing team of supply chain professionals
- Coordinate with Sourcing, Engineering, Demand Planning, Data Center Operations and Suppliers to build processes, drive optimization, garner supply chain efficiencies and improve delivery performance
- Provide data to Planning & Program Mgmt on manufacturing lead times and fulfillment constraints or concerns with high focus on risk mitigation
- Analyze demand to influence inventory and replenishment strategies in partnership with cross functional stakeholders to align demand with available supply and resources
- Drive Microsoft-established supplier performance metrics including on-time delivery performance, inventory positions, lead-times, cycle time, product transitions, and risk analysis
- Participate in supplier performance evaluations and executive reviews and help drive supply chain excellence in the space

- Experience working in a functional program role with focus on key areas of Finance, Engineering, Suppliers and Program Management
- Ability to lead in ambiguous situations, and deal effectively with conflicting priorities and changes
- Strong analytical skills and knowledge in root cause analysis/problem solving and the ability to implement and drive corrective actions and efficiencies in a matrix environment

Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years’ experience in supply chain, supplier management, planning, materials management and manufacturing operations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related technical degree.
- Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in electronics, telecommunications, and/or information technologies in a supply chain supporting of hardware or software
- Experience in project or program management with proven track record of successfully setting up and executing supply chain operational processes
- Experience in working with global and cross-functional internal and external teams in a fast-paced environment
- Extensive experience in leading cross functional teams for supply chain operations
- Cloud / high tech supply chain experience is a plus
