Job Description
Amgen is seeking an Information Systems (IS), Scrum Master / Project Coordinator for Clinical Data Analysis IS services and primarily responsible for owning the services for three business capabilities: Statistical Study Design, Clinical Data Standards, and Clinical Data Statistical Analysis. Also included is a shared SAS Analytical Platform Service. Collaborate with business partners and other service leads to define the roadmap in support of business strategy and goals.
Role Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Program Manager for Clinical Data Analysis systems by capturing updates from all the respective project and task owners; providing regular status reports to the Leadership team; logging risks, issues, decisions, and actions; working with team to set the monthly Advisory Board agenda and materials.
- Serve as the Scrum Master for one or more scrum teams
- Mentor Junior Scrum Masters within the team and provide additional support as necessary
- Provide oversight across all the scrum teams
- Work with Business Stakeholders to roll out new ServiceNow applications in an Agile way
- Coordinate maintenance activities such as patches and upgrades
- Understand administration procedures when requests are made (e.g. routing activities which fall as request or standard change appropriately to admin team instead of going through scrum process)
- Reviews and analyzes improvement requests identified by business partners or users for completeness, justification, and business value
- Facilitates governance review of improvement requests with leadership team
- Coordinates with appropriate Business Owner / Business Analyst for story creation if request is accepted
- Leads daily scrum, sprint backlog refinement and sprint planning meetings
- Drives end to end lifecycle of improvements
- Drive continuous improvement of demand process
- 10% domestic travel can be encouraged
Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree
OR
Master’s degree and 3 years of Information Systems experience
OR
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of Information Systems experience
OR
Associates degree and 10 years of Information Systems experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Information Systems experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 plus years’ Project Management experience
- 2 plus years’ experience working in a highly agile (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) environment
- Good understanding of full stack development and DevOps
- Experience operating within a validated systems environment (FDA, European Agency for the Evaluation of Medicinal Products, Ministry of Health, etc.)
- Experience working multi-functionally and building collaborative working relationships; interfacing optimally with partners, operations and management to problem solve
- Ability to coordinate and schedule tasks, develop realistic action plans incorporating time constraints and task priorities
- Previous experience working in a highly collaborative and culturally diverse environment
- Excellent Microsoft Suite skills
