Responsibilities:
- Will interact with clients and provide support in the development of new and existing clients.
- Serves as the senior technical leader for assessment and remediation projects of moderate to complex scopes.
- Serves as project manager for site assessment and remediation projects in California.
- Authors and provides input, review, and/or approval to designs, reports, permits, specifications, work scopes and cost estimates associated with contaminant remediation projects.
- Handles challenging remediation projects, including chemical oxidation projects.
- Participates in operation and maintenance of remedial systems, including system evaluations and upgrades, more advanced troubleshooting and ensuring permit compliance.
- Manages, trains and mentors staff regarding remediation and engineering activities and standards.
- Will oversee and provide support for various construction activities associated with environmental remediation and other environmental projects.
- Provides review and approval of Spill Prevention Controls and Countermeasure (SPCC) and Facility Response Plans (FRP) according to 40 CFR 120.
- Supports the preparation of various National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits, which includes high level review and approval.
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical or Civil) or Geology.
- 10-15+ years of experience providing engineering & consulting support to complex environmental project sites. Environmental compliance experience is a plus!
- Established client relationships in the Industrial and Oil & Gas sectors within California, and demonstrated experience with growth of key Industrial and Oil & Gas client accounts in California.
- Must be able to review, interpret and advise on a wide range of environmental regulations.
- Must have excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.
- Professional Civil Engineer certification (California) is highly desired, but Professional Geologist registration will be considered.
