Senior Director for Software Product Security

We are looking for an outstanding senior leader to direct innovative teams and initiatives within the core product security group, while driving standards and alignment throughout the product verticals. This role is a rare opportunity to influence security across the ecosystem, impacting NVIDIA’s entire product portfolio.

You will develop global product security strategy and grow the NVIDIA security teams for skill and size to match business needs as we engage new markets. You should demonstrate a proven facility with secure development practices, and willingness to work collaboratively and remotely with other teams to accomplish complex goals.

You should have experience influencing decisions cross-functionally and implementing processes to meet multiple objectives. You should be passionate about finding opportunities for scale through strategic investments in process improvements, automation and training to harness the power of the global organization.

What you will be doing:

• Security leader is expected to define and implement strategies to ensure delivery of security objectives across markets.
• Collaborates with technology, risk management and business organizations to integrate security into existing operational capabilities ensuring they address market needs.
• Drive continuous improvement throughout your own team and broader business areas to ensure NVIDIA platforms are robust against current and future security threats.
• Define a strategic direction for investment and improvement of the secure architecture for multiple platforms in alignment with NVIDIA leadership.
• Security leader looks ahead providing direction on emerging threats, trends, and security practices that can impact NVIDIA business and interests.
• Ensure appropriate and measurable administrative, and technical safeguards are in place to protect NVIDIA’s service and products from threats.
• Works with organizations, introducing and implementing appropriate procedures, checks and balances, to test the efficiency of security controls on a recurring basis.
• Coordinates and responds to cyber incidents, incoming threat intelligence (PSIRT), and investigations for senior leadership and product owners ensuring robust handling and transparency of security critical events.

What we need to see:

• Master’s degree or PhD in MIS, CS, EE or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in the product, cloud or related security engineering areas with at least 8 years of direct people management experience.
• Understanding of modern data center design, virtualization, global infrastructure, high-speed interconnect networks, workload management and resource allocation and security.
• Secure software fundamentals including cryptography, authentication/attestation, chains of trust, and understanding of common SW security vulnerabilities.
• Proven ability to build and lead effective teams directly and virtually across multiple organizations, including identifying, recruiting and retaining talent.
• Strong communication (written, verbal), and interpersonal skills to effectively interact and build trust with all levels of the NVIDIA global organization

What we need to see:

• Experience with Secure Software Development Life Cycle frameworks such as Microsoft SDL, CLASP, OpenSAMM or BSIMM.
• Familiarity with Cloud security standards such as CIS, CSA*, NIST, ISO, SOC-II and related governance models.
• Sound knowledge of security fundamentals ranging from operating system through cloud architectures.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Experience with cloud security systems, associated infrastructures and securing service delivery at scale with measurable controls.
• Machine Learning, Deep-Learning, Artificial Intelligence experience and associated market needs a plus.
