Team Overview:

This position will be part of a highly motivated team who is focused on re-engineering Dun & Bradstreet’s data research capabilities to provide a superior experience for our customers, partners, and data subjects. This is a highly collaborative cross-functional team comprised of technology and data operations team members. The team follows an agile methodology. There are clearly stated business goals, but the team is adept at pivoting to react to emerging business opportunities, risks, and requirements.

The Role :

The Scrum Master is responsible for coordinating sprint work with the Technology and Operations leaders along with the respective engineering, testing, and SME team members. This role is responsible for driving and tracking the progress of the team through the agile/scrum process. Also included in this role will be reporting status and progress to sr. management and organizational PMO teams.

This team member will be responsible for collaborating with partner business and technology teams to plan and coordinate integration efforts. Making sure dependencies are tracked and fulfilled are of paramount importance.

Essential Key Responsibilities:

  • Fulfill the Scrum Master responsibilities and deliverables. This includes sprint grooming, planning, and tracking. Oversee team activities such as the morning stand up meeting and sprint demo
  • Collaborating and coordinating with partner teams. Work with teams to identify dependencies, risks, and assumptions. Develop cross-team integration and deployment plans. Track the progress
  • Working with Technology and Operations team leaders on program planning, resource loading, staffing artifacts (i.e., SOW’s, etc.), etc.. Assist program leaders with financial tracking and reporting
  • Assuming responsibility for program reporting artifacts to sr. management and organization PMO teams.
  • Work with operations team members to identify business requirements. Assist the operations team with being able to convey business objectives and align with technology deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • A business-related degree or experience working in a corporate business environment. Experience in Technology and/or Operations is a definite plus
  • Familiarity with the duties and responsibilities of the ScurmMaster role. Experience in working within an Agile program methodology
  • Highly organized with the ability to work on multiple effort simultaneously and prioritize according to importance. Be able to pivot and adjust priorities as opportunities and risks emerge.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills. Be comfortable with interacting with different levels of engineers and managers to align on plans and progress reporting. Excellent written communication skills in preparing updates and status for sr. management
  • Self-driven and able to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to develop personal work plans when presented with an intended objective. A person in the role must be result-driven.
