The Scrum Master is collaborative, humble, knowledgeable, responsible, committed, creative, assertive, and influential. The Scrum Master provides a single point of contact for all Scrum team related activities and information with respect to applications or products assigned to the Scrum team. The Scrum Master must possess the ability to understand, translate, and apply Agile concepts into effective business processes at AgFirst. An effective Scrum Master is able to make the transition from concept and principles to effective behavior based application of leadership skills that support the line of business products, different business models, and technology architecture / environments unique to specific lines of business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develops and maintain an expert level of understanding of Scrum and Agile Project Management practices and ensure Agile principles and Scrum practices are followed. Protects the team from interferences and help provide leadership external to the team to protect the team’s interests and priorities
• An effective Scrum master understands team dynamics and how to engage the TSO, BSO, and PMO Director to make sure the right people are on the team and are performing at an acceptable level.
• An effective Scrum master uses expert judgment and discernment to ask ‘Why’ questions in an effective way to guide and challenge people on ideas, concepts, and estimates.
• Works closely with Product Owners and BA s to establish acceptance criteria for all user stories.The Scrum master should be able to actually understand the nature of the work, provide constructive feedback and engage with the Product Owners and Team Members.
• Responsible for adherence to all Agile \ Scrum standards as referenced in AgFirst’s SDLC standards.
• An effective Scrum Master monitors key metrics for the team and leads, drives, influences, and molds the team through feedback into a high performing team that is perceived as a responsive unit producing high quality output.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance, or Minimum of 8 years of related work experience.
• Thorough knowledge of Agile \ Scrum \ Kanban principles.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to team and management.
• Focuses on customer service, demonstrating a positive influence on cross-team working relationships.
• Works to continually build knowledge and skills.
• Influences others and leads by example
• Able to manage competing demands; excellent organizational skills.
