JOB SUMMARY (BRIEF):

This position develops the schedule, organized actions and directs assigned projects to ensure that the projects are effectively executed to budget and schedule. Acts as key interface between Product Managers and the team.


JOB DUTIES
:

1. Assists Product Managers in overseeing and coordinating all aspects of project activities through completion of project.

2. Assists Product Managers with the preparation of the project plan, assists with managing the plan and develops and implements project tasks

3. Maintains accurate and up to date records of project status, changes and other control records necessary for completing both internal and external tasks.

4. Manages the NPD (New Product Development) process, including setting up team meetings, project schedules and action plans.

5. Facilitates team meetings, records, distributes meeting minutes, and reports out any delays to the appropriate functional lead.

6. Identifies potential project risks and assists to develop/implement strategies to minimize impact and develop and implement strategies for controlling deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines.

7. Proactively communicates project schedules, project change proposals and related project activities on a regular basis with product manager and project team and on occasion upper management. Effectively communicates project requirements to project team, and maintains accurate and up to date records of project status, changes, and other control records necessary for implementation of NPD projects.

8. Manage projects as needed; this includes the full range of project management responsibilities listed above

9. Obtain market segment knowledge by attend tradeshows, traveling with Sales team, participating in customer meetings.

10. Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

EDUCATION / SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Minimum two-year technical degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience; Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred.
  • Previous engineering, field service or project management experience preferred
  • Experience in the food service industry a plus
  • Previous supervisory experience desired.
  • Basic project management experience in a technical environment
  • Strong Microsoft Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
