Description:
The Program/Project Manager is an essential management position on the task order. The PM is responsible for a multi-functional team of technical experts supporting distributed information management systems. Provides systems engineering and computer system environment analysis, planning, implementation and maintenance. Responsible for task assignment, management and hands-on assistance to maintain and integrate supported systems. Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities:
Provide a complete view of the overall project to all partners.

Craft and maintain a consolidated timeline highlighting achievements and associated dates for project activities.

Put mechanisms in place to set expectations and ensure ongoing control of the project (E.g., Kick off meeting, overall Project Management Approach, Risk Management, Issues Management, Change Control, etc.)

Lead multiple, concurrent projects.

Actively communicate the project’s progress on an ongoing basis, ensuring transparency throughout project lifecycle.

Provide leadership and key partners with the information and venues to make effective, timely decisions.

Maintain project artifacts throughout the life of the project.

Support all related project tracking methods and systems to ensure accurate project information is available and is reported on time.

Lead project team in brainstorming, root cause analysis, or similar problem-solving techniques to assist in resolving issues, crafting solutions, or defining process improvements.

Independently coordinate project needs and activities with company internal functions including procurement, production planning, manufacturing, quality, and accounting.

Provide project status reports to clients and internal team.

Manage project budgets and report variances and profitability.

Independently identify and mitigate project risks and schedule impacts, providing proactive communication, preventive direction and recovery planning.

Performs additional duties as required by management.

Job Requirements:
Skills and Experience :
At least 5 years of previous project management experience

Experience with project management software

Recent experience in a client facing projects

High School diploma or GED

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint

Prioritize, schedule and facilitate multiple tasks related to projects.

Independently identify and mitigate project risks and schedule impacts, providing preventive direction and recovery planning, for small to medium size projects.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education:
A bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience, OR, an associate’s degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR, a major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR, 11 years of recent specialized experience.
